Summary of Job Duties:

Interact with and entertain Guests while mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to Guests of bar and/or restaurant as well as providing a pleasant and entertaining atmosphere for all Guests. This job requires the Hooters Girl to interact with and entertain the Hooters customers. The essence of the job is based on socially acceptable female sex appeal. It is required that the Hooters Girl sells food, beverage and merchandise to the Guests. It is also required that the Hooters Girl attends and participates in company sponsored promotions to help ensure the success of the concept. Hooters Girls must be ready and available at all times to pose for photographs with Guests.

Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepares order requests from customers or Cocktail Server.
  • Up-sells liquor.
  • Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned.
  • Suggestive sells specialty and house cocktails, beers and wines.
  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
  • Collects money for drinks served.
  • Comps players drinks in accordance with house rules.
  • Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies from Beverage Manager.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
  • Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts.
  • Changes currency for gaming machines.
  • Stocks bar with necessary items.
  • Keeps abreast of all current specialty drinks, trends, new liquors, beers and wines.
  • Through knowledge of liquor types.
  • Notify Slot department of fills, payouts and jams for bar-top gaming machines.
  • Provide an entertaining atmosphere for Guest by dancing, singing, game playing, etc.
  • Participate in Company sponsored and/or authorized promotions to help ensure the success of Hooters Casino Hotel.
  • Adhere to Hooters Girl Image standards at all times during shift.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledgeable of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • One (1) year of experience as an apprentice bartender working in a similar resort setting
  • Money handling experience

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working in a similar resort setting

LICENSES:

  • Food Handler’s Card
  • Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Non-Gaming Card
