Host/Expo Job Description

This is a hybrid position that includes host/hostess, and food expeditor responsibilities. As an Eastern Peak Host/Expo, you are responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience by greeting guests and anticipating their needs. A host greets customers as they enter a restaurant, immediately seats them, or places them on a waiting list. They may also handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu and assist various restaurant staff when necessary. An Expohelps keep a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables. You will work in a fast-paced environment to get proper orders out faster and more efficiently. As a food expeditor, you must have excellent communication skills and experience in a restaurants hectic setting. The goal of this position is to ensure order accuracy and quality customer service to all Eastern Peak guests.

• Greet all guests warmly in a timely manner, alert servers of new tables.
• Seat and rotate guests, know table numbers, and pour water.
• Overseeing Telephone communications
• Perform daily cleaning tasks to facilitate the overall maintenance of the restaurant.
• Always know the specials and 86'd items
• Stay informative about the restaurant and answer customer questions.
• Take pride in plating food properly while executing perfect plate presentation, ensuring all necessary condiments and garnishments accompany the dish.
• Delivers all food orders to waiting guests in a timely manner.
• Complete all opening and closing checklists.
• Have a desire to succeed in a progressive, exciting, and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience preferred with hosting, customer service, etc.
• Flexible availability

• Superb ability to communicate with coworkers/customers and maintain a positive relationship with all employees.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
