The Hourly Supervisor Job Description
Reports to:
General Manager/Regional Managers
Summary of Position:

The Hourly Supervisor position is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience. The Lead Hourly Supervisory position is for a self driven team player that wants to grow with Limon.

Duties & Responsibilities:

General

  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and collaborate with the General Manager to administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.

Financial

  • Maintains budgeted labor, beverage and semi-variable costs.
  • Assists with month-end inventory and ensures beverage par levels are maintained.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.

Guest Service

  • Develop & maintain positive relationships with guests and staff.
  • Deals with guest concerns or complaints immediately.

Operational Procedures

  • Assigns and instructs servers regarding duties and conducts pre-service line ups.
  • Conducts daily checks for equipment or building maintenance, coordinates repair orders promptly.
  • Hands on with serving, hostess, bussing, and bartending.
  • Oversees the service in our restaurant and ensures that set ups, equipment, supplies, staffing, and menus meet/exceed customer’s expectations.
  • Committed to safety, including adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Carry out restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns.

Personnel

  • Ensures compliance to relevant legislative requirements.
  • Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Management/Corporate team.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in restaurant serving capacity
  • A minimum of 2 years in supervisory experience in a similar position
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with chefs, managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
  • Degree/Diploma in Hospitality preferred
  • Managerial Servsafe Certification
  • Self motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required
  • Proven ability to lead by example
  • Flexible work schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable access to transportation essential
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).
