Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor performs special cleaning projects as well as daily cleaning duties in accordance with standard procedures of the Operations department. This person ensures that standards are being met.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure facility equipment are maintained on daily basis
- Operate equipment and follow instructions according OSHA regulations
- Ensure team members adhere to all health and safety Regulations
- Assists in standardizing the method in which laundry tasks will be performed
- Supervise and perform all essential housekeeping and laundry functions:
- Clean and disinfect areas throughout the facility-toilets, sinks, doors handle’s, glass doors, walls, flooring, and other areas as needed
- Empty trash and replace liners. Transport to dumpsters or outbound transfer areas as needed
- Dust and mop facility, Including floor, walls, and lights
- Wipe and sanitize all surfaces
- Vacuum all carpeted areas
- Collect and tag textiles
- Launder and fold
- Maintain cleaning logs
- Help maintain an accurate inventory of all linens
- Report supply shortages to Manager
- Seek cost savings in daily operations
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven proficiency in housekeeping operations
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and identify and correct problems
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365. Inside and outside, all weather conditions
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- 1 year of laundry and/or housekeeping experience is desired
- 1 year of laundry and or/housekeeping supervisory experience is preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, a background check, and provide proof of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19 after accepting a conditional offer of employment
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have direct reports.
Work Environment
This position operates in a remote and field work environment.
Physical Demands
The employee may be required to stand, walk, twist, turn, bend, climb, lift, or kneel. Occasional lifting to 25 Ibs May occur.
