OB TITLE: Houseman/ Janitor

REPORTS TO : House Keeping Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of hotel public spaces under supervision of housekeeping supervisor. .

They should maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all housekeeping departmental policies/service and also the hotel's procedures/standards. Additionally, maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Vacuuming hotel carpeting
• Mopping hard surfaces in lobby and dining areas
• Cleaning public restrooms
• Removing trash from waste receptacles
• Dusting and cleaning in hallways and front office areas
• Cleaning swimming pool area
• Assisting guests with common issues (Providing additional towels, removing trash during their stay, etc.)
• Attending to minor maintenance issues

PREREQUISITES:

Physical mobility and stamina required, Ability to follow instruction, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required, Ability to work independently.

Experience:

Previous hotel or janitorial experience related experience desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
