Introduction:


We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resource Generalist aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role acts as liaison between employees and HR leadership. This position attends to benefits-related questions to communicate to the HR Director for resolution. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, onboarding, benefits administration, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Key tasks:

  • Works collaboratively with HR Director to support the strategic direction on all aspects of HR including onboarding and termination, compliance, benefits administration, leave of absence management, performance and compensation management, employee relations, and training & development.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Tracks performance review process.
  • Assists with recruitment process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Ensures legal compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Guides and collaborates with management and employees to improve and develop the culture and organizational structure.
  • Assist in conducting New Hire Orientation and ensure completion of documents, certifications, and policy acknowledgements.

Requirements:

  • Excellent level of responsibility, integrity, honesty and assertiveness.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years HR experience or HS diploma/GED with 5-7 years HR experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Has strong understanding of HR functions and HR related work processes.
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving skills and resourceful thinking.
