Position Summary:

The HR Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional HR support to associates, leaders, and the HR function. The incumbent will ensure positive expedient inquiry resolution for a broad range of HR-related topics, including but not limited to HR policies, HRIS navigation and transactions (SuccessFactors), benefits, compensation/payroll, performance management and full life cycle associate relations inquiry. This role will heavily utilize HR systems, processes, policies, and HR knowledge management resources to successfully resolve associate inquiries through various communication methods which include walk-up, electronic, and telephone. The HR Specialist will perform administrative, transactional, and data/records management activities in support of HR and HRIS functions. This role will be hybrid, primarily on-site with some remote-work opportunity.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


HR Customer Service and General Inquiry Support:


Ensure a People First experience as the first line of contact for associates needing assistance from HR via in-person, phone, or electronic inquiry.

Handle sensitive issues with associates with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

Support a first-call resolution culture by expertly resolving basic HR inquiries and triaging and escalating complex inquiries by engaging COE support as needed. Follow inquiries to customer resolution and manage workload efficiently to fulfill commitments in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs)

Ensure all requests are tracked and logged into the case management system.

HR Systems Support:

Resolve HR systems support inquiries (Kronos and SuccessFactors) and support associate and leader self-service questions in a timely and accurate manner.

Process systems transactions by collecting required information or backup documentation from the associate, leader, or HR. Ensure data is entered, updated, and maintained correctly and accurately within the system; research and perform data corrections.

Run and distribute HR reports and assist with ad hoc HRIS data reporting requests.

Complete weekly and annual processes (payroll, performance, benefits) in a timely and accurate manner and audit processes as requested.

Coordinate with leaders and COE HR teams to gather data and resolve problems; identify issues, recommend actions and work with HR Information systems (HRIS) to address technical issues.


Knowledge/Process Management:


Identify opportunities to improve processes, recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements

Assist in development of HR knowledge management resources that support associates to have immediate access to relevant information. Update and maintain training materials and reference guides, as needed

Recommend updates to standard work, process documentation, training materials and reference guides, as needed to promote continuous improvement and adherence to standard work.


Engagement and Administrative Support


Assist with HR program rollouts, communications, calendar initiatives, and recognition and engagement efforts.

Provide HR department administrative support to include scheduling meetings coordinating and ordering food for events, payment and auditing of invoices, filing, organizing, and copying.

Prepare and deliver training to leaders and HR functions regarding HR systems and self-service.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


Required:

2 years of professional work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent HR experience).

Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Strong attention to detail

Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work within a high-volume customer service atmosphere.

An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to independently resolve complex administrative issues.


Preferred:

Basic knowledge of employment legislation

One (1) year demonstrated HR Systems experience

One (1) year demonstrated customer service or call center experience
