Your Purpose will be:
Manages all of the sourcing and staffing for specified areas of the business. Provides assistance in the roll out of the Human Resource objectives, policies, and plans. Ensures Human Resource activities are conducted in accordance with Kane’s established policies and procedures. Supports in the administering all aspects of Kane’s Human Resource policies and functions.
What you are responsible for:
Assumes responsibility for the implementation and execution of effective recruitment methods and strategies.
- Executes recruitment strategies and policies.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.
- Communicates with candidates to set up interview times and follow ups.
- Reviews resumes and reaches out to candidates who meet position qualifications
- Executes strategies to recruit passive job seekers.
- Manages the recruiting process to ensure staffing levels and organizational goals are met.
- Posts and updates job requisitions on job boards and other methods to attract a range of candidates.
- Develops creative techniques to attract new candidates.
- Uses the effective use of key words to optimize search hits.
Assumes responsibility for developing working relationships with Senior Management, People Managers, Vendors and Schools.
- Communicates with Managers to understand staffing levels and meet store operational needs. Reviews and understands job roles to recruit the right talent for the right positions.
- Participates in career fairs, recruiting and networking events, professionally promoting the Kane’s brand.
- Reaches out to job board vendors for recruiting opportunities.
- Assists Senior Management in developing and executing short and long-term recruiting objectives, goals, and strategies.
- Assists to resolve employee relations issues according to Kane’s company policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Ensures all human resource functions, including record keeping, interviewing, hiring, promotions, and terminations, are conducted in accordance with established Kane’s company policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Ensures Human Resource policies are updated and communicated to management and staff. Provides advice and interpretation regarding Human Resource policies as they relate to individuals and to Kane’s objectives.
Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of effective Human Resource strategies and policies.
- Assists Senior Management in developing short and long-term objectives, goals, and strategies.
- Administers operational plans, policies, and goals which further strategic objectives.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, and updates policies to ensure compliance.
Assists with the implementation of Human Resource functions.
- Recommends wage/labor policies based on objective data regarding competition, profitability, business conditions, and the economic environment.
- Oversees job classification and the updating of job descriptions.
Assists in the work to resolve employee relations issues according to Kane’s company policies and applicable legal requirements.- Ensures all human resource functions, including record keeping, interviewing, hiring, promotions, and terminations, are conducted in accordance with established Kane’s company policies and applicable legal requirements. Assists to assure compliance with related federal and state legislation.
- Assists with any training programs.
- Assists with Human Resource policies updates and communication.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and management.
- Assists and supports personnel as needed.
- Ensures management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Completes related reports accurately and timely.
- Attends meetings as required.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional working relations with human resource organizations, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensures effective coordination of Kane’s representatives, governmental officials, and business contacts.
- Represents Kane’s with various trade professionals and groups.
- Ensures the Kane’s professional reputation is maintained.
- Ensures questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Stays informed of trends and changes in the Human Resource field. Attend seminars and professional conferences.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience and education.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Human Resource laws and regulations.
Understanding of compensation and benefit policies and programs, employee relations practices, and recruitment techniques.
Staffing and recruiting experience
Experience Required: Three + years of progressive experience in human resource positions.
Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communications abilities
Solid interpersonal abilities.
Effective project management abilities.
Strong presentation and training ability.
