Medgene Labs helps veterinarians and producers protect livestock with precisely constructed immunological products and services. Applying a strategy of continual diagnostic surveillance and data analytics to the practice of immunology, creating vaccines for the disease-at-hand quicker and more precisely than previously possible. Medgene Labs has a single mission: To be a world-class Immunological Services Provider for leading livestock producers and their veterinarians. Medgene is seeking to hire a Human Resource Manager for our rapidly growing business and product pipeline. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) Department at the site level. The Human Resource Manager will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Specific expectations include, but are not limited to, the following areas of accountability:

  • Human resource management, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, and termination
  • Foster a "Best Place to Work Culture"
  • Manage challenging employee situations, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Administer company wage and salary structure, and compensation policies including variable pay systems, bonuses, and increases.
  • Team member performance management, including annual performance reviews and improvement plans
  • Upgrade quality of onboarding program. Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Internal communication strategy to team members
  • Coordinate and promote employee engagement through community service activities
  • Professional development and identification of training opportunities
  • Lead benefits administration.
  • Thorough and accurate recordkeeping of personnel documentation
  • Company policy documentation and execution
  • Assist in proactive business improvement initiative identification
  • Regulation management and reporting
  • General operating support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related program
  • Preferred SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Self-Starter
  • At least 5-7 years of related experience is required
  • Experience setting up and expanding HR programs and policies is a plus
