Human Resources Manager

Summary
The Human Resources Manager is a strategic business partner leader that collaborates with organizational management teams to align short and long-term goals within Sycuan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establishes influential relationships with leadership across the different functions of the organization to understand their business needs, priorities, and goals. Brings forward business knowledge to share HR strategy and goals.
  • Leads a team of business partners who deploy strategies that align with the culture, using problem solving and influencing skills to partner with leaders to significantly improve business outcomes.
  • Influences and collaborates on managing business changes, elevating engagement, and growing capability across the organization.
  • Assesses needs and identifies solutions that address talent attraction, retention, change management, employee engagement, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Leads core HR processes; performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, investigations, development and coaching, policies and procedures, employment law, compensation cycle, promotions and succession planning.
  • Develops proactive solutions that stay ahead of industry, market and functional trends, and demonstrates these insights to develop appropriate organizational HR strategies and solutions
  • Analyzes and interprets various types of reports and data to develop proactive plans and response actions.
  • Collaborates with the human resources team to champion and accelerate projects, initiatives and goals while creating a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
Education and Experience
Essential
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • 7 years experience of increasing responsibility in human resources
  • 3 years experience in a leadership role
  • Strategic leadership, influence and business experience
  • Experience working with a large scale HRIS system
Desirable
  • Casino, Hospitality or Entertainment industry experience
  • Human Resources Certification

  • Demonstrated success developing and leading large scale initiatives and advising leadership on insights, implications and delivering appropriate communication, strategy and deployment approaches to programs.
  • Demonstrated success building a proactive, business focused, human resources strategic partnership- viewed as a trusted advisor, credible activist and strategic operational thinker.
  • Demonstrated success influencing and building trust with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated success advising and consulting leaders regarding various human resources related matters while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to excel in a fast- paced environment and successfully manage competing priorities daily.
  • Advanced technical skills using various programs and software. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills
Desirable
  • Bilingual
  • Experience working in a large, multi-division/location organization.
