Position Summary

The Human Resources Specialist handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Handles employment application intake through the ATS/Onboarding software.
• Performs initial phone or in person interview and refers applications to the proper supervisor.
• Schedule all applicants for interview and/or orientation.
• Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
• Conducts on site new employees orientation.
• Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Explains the benefit package to all new hires.
• Maintain on-site employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, and transfers in the CoreHR software.
• Adhere to all company safety/OSHA rules and regulations.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Must be fluent in Spanish. Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment practices. Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to travel occasionally is required. Should be flexible to work a variable work schedule. Confidentiality in all aspects of Human Resources and company information required. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work directly on a computer in a high pressure environment. Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
