Job Description
Newspapers Department, Oklahoma Historical Society – Research Division, Oklahoma City
Duties:
- Inspect and prepare materials to be scanned.
- Perform daily inspection of scanning equipment assuring quality control.
- Prepare metadata for digitized images.
- Index digital scans
- Operate digital scanning equipment, including overhead cameras, sheet feed scanners, computer equipment, and scanning software.
- Provide quality control for scanning
- Maintain scanning equipment
- Perform other tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic computer operations and word processing and spreadsheet software
- Filing and record keeping basic skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Detail-oriented
- Task-oriented
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
