The Immigration Specialist supports the Company’s policies and procedures on U.S. visa application processes, understands current requirements, and remains abreast on recent developments. This role serves as the main point of contact for managers, new hires, existing employees, and the HR team on all immigration matters. You will service as the liaison between internal customers and outside legal counsel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage case initiations and extensions of US non-immigrant and immigrant visas (H1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1, PERM, I-140, etc.) and international work permits for fanatics business units worldwide .
  • Work closely with employees and families to provide comprehensive immigration service through the application process, including responses to applications, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), interviews and compliance.
  • Review immigration regulations and be able to apply them to various case scenarios.
  • Prepare immigration-related correspondence (e.g. employment confirmation letters, invitation letters, travel packets, business introduction letters, etc.) for employees, as needed.
  • Routine case monitoring; Main point of contact on status of applications and remaining requirements
  • Perform research using all available immigration research tools including government agencies' websites.
  • Assist with obtaining necessary information for visa extensions and for visa transfers
  • Maintain all posting requirements for each individual and ensure all Public Files are created appropriately, maintained and housed within HR
  • Assist cross-functional team within HR with documentation for I-9 for international workers.
  • Assist visa applicants with gathering and preparing the documentation needed for immigration petitions
  • Work with outside immigration counsel to initiate immigration petitions
  • Act as a liaison between the candidate and outside counsel and provide continuous support and coordination
  • Counsel employees and managers on immigration policies, and set expectations on best practice, process and timeline. Partner with HR and business on internal transfer needs.
  • Assist with invoice processing/tracking of payment status. This includes working with vendors and the internal Accounts Payable department
  • Proactively identify process improvements focusing on employee experience
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as needed


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related area preferred
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience with the corporate business immigration process.
  • Strong interest in the legal field, particularly immigration and global mobility and expanding knowledge and responsibilities in casework preparation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational and data entry skills
  • Achieve high level of productivity.
  • Maintains a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to solve problems under tight timelines
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments
  • Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisor.
