We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to join our team for seasonal positions immediately. The ideal candidates should have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to safety, with the ability to work independently. We offer gas reimbursement, paid Mondays and Fridays, workers' compensation, PTO, and end of season bonus. Health Insurance is optional.

Pay Range:

Swim Instructors: $45-$60 Depening on Skill Set

Hourly Lifeguards: $50 Hourly ( Lifeguards are booked on occasion)

Responsibilities:

• Understand and teach drowning prevention
• Teach swimming lessons to students of all ages and abilities
• Ensure the safety of swimmers at all times by monitoring the pool area and enforcing rules and regulations
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
• Maintain a clean and organized pool area
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Qualifications:

• Verifiable employment
• Demonstration of all four strokes
• Lifeguard and/or swim instructor certification (One year of teaching can replace swim instructor certification)
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
• Must pass a criminal background check

Swim Instructor & Lifeguard Qualifications

• Lifeguard and/or swim instructor certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience teaching swimming lessons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Must be able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally

Water Aerobics Instructor

• Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate warm-up, exercise, stretching, and cool down.
• Instructs patrons on effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies different muscle groups, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles.
• Prepares appropriate equipment, music, and handouts for each class.
• Must have own equipment

Pool Service Technician Requirements

• Maintaining equipment and chemical stock in your storage
• Testing swimming pool water pH, and chlorine levels.
• Adding acid, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct pH level.
• Cleaning swimming pool using authorized equipment.
• Replacing globes in underwater light fittings.
• Fixing cracks or leaks in the swimming pool structure.
• Fitting and repairing pipes and plumbing for spas and pools.
• Servicing and fixing faulty pool cleaning equipment.
• Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.

Pool Service Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Previous experience as a pool technician.
• Knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods.
• Extensive knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting and equipment repairs.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
• Professional appearance.
