Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Establish new dealerships – serves as the primary developer of new indirect business for an assigned/designated territory through frequent sales calls on automobile, RV, marine, & recreational dealerships.
  • Maintains appropriate records and reports in order to evaluate individual dealer relationships
  • In conjunction with the Director of Consumer Loans/Sr. Indirect Loan Representative, this position is responsible for relevant indirect programs:
    • Develops new programs to be marketed to new and existing dealerships, i.e. Flat Fee program, Dealer Reserve adjustments, lease programs, dealership promotional events, etc.
    • Personally presents and communicates/educates these programs to dealers
    • Leads program implementation by creating sales fliers, distribution of marketing materials/gifts, and tracks dealership performance and penetration levels
    • Works as the Lending/Sales Function liaison between Indirect Operations staff, Loan Operations and internal buyers
  • Jointly establishes annual quantitative customer service and sales objectives with the Consumer Loans/Sr. Indirect Loan Rep. This activity is to be integrated with the department’s annual operating plan
  • Will, from time to time, investigate and resolve dealer inadequacies in an effort to protect the bank’s assets
  • Provides quality service to customers, whether internal or external
  • Actively cross-sells other bank loan and deposit products
  • Will gain entry level lending authority to purchase credits in a timely, effective manner and communicates the credit decisions (approvals, conditions, declines) to dealers in a professional manner
  • Complies with established operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the bank’s adherence to outside regulatory agencies
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all job-specific requirements in a timely fashion
Ancillary Duties:
As an integral member of the Indirect Lending Department, this position is responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Department and the Bank in achieving their goals.
  • Performs floor plan checks as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed
Qualifications:
Education, Training and Requirements:
  • Associates Degree, B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field of study preferred
  • History of specialized training in sales and/or marketing
  • Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values: a strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, transparency and humility
Skills:
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank indirect loan products and services
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • General knowledge of current lending regulations
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Working knowledge of bank operating services
  • Valid driver’s license

Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a related lending, dealer services field or equivalent education normally required.
