MerchSource is seeking an Industrial Designer to join our Sharper Imagine division in Irvine, CA. MerchSource, a ThreeSixty Group Company is a $400.0MM consumer products company that designs and develops consumer products and solutions in the areas of Toys, Home Comfort, Wellness, RC and cross-category gifting. Brands include the iconic Sharper Image, FAO Schwarz, Vornado, and Discovery Kids.

This position requires the Designer to work on a wide variety of products, across multiple categories and will be able to build a complete product experience. Qualified candidates will have a strong aesthetic sensibility and love to innovate. They will be able to think outside the box and push creative boundaries taking ideas from concept through to final production.

Responsibilities & Priorities

• The strategic evolution of products and brands.
• Participate and at times leads brainstorming sessions.
• Design and CAD development.
• Eye for creating copy and beautiful compelling renderings and presentations.
• Collaborate across multiple creative and business disciplines.
• Manage manufacturing partners.

Core Competencies & Qualifications

• BA/BS in Industrial Design or similar discipline.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong Design Mastery in industrial design. Your portfolio will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, problem-solving and technical mastery.
• Initiative and drive to manage your own projects.
• Core understanding of mass production manufacturing techniques.
• Generates creative and effective ideas while considering all aspects of a challenge.
• Solid understanding of relevant CAD systems (e.g. Rhino or SolidWorks).
• Demonstrates strong sketching and rendering skills.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D modeling programs.
• Strong knowledge of design trends.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Hybrid Schedule: Our team has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office an average of three (3) days a week
