As an Information Security Solution Architect, you’ll work closely with internal business units and customers to fully understand their operational needs. You’ll design solutions that efficiently meet business needs and align with IT strategy. This is a strategic role with ownership of the vision for one or more software solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages, organizes, and administers systems analysis and preparation of applications to process data and solve problems through digital solutions.
  • Establishes priorities and schedules, and oversees and reviews the work of analysts and technical staff.
  • Reviews feasibility studies and time and cost estimates of new or revised systems.
  • Assists in the development of standards, procedures, and software applications.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and according to company standards.
  • Consults with personnel in other information systems groups to coordinate activities.
  • Consults with management to clarify systems and programs intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine the extent of application systems changes required.
  • Develops a project plan and schedule with key milestones, contingency plans, workflow charts, or diagrams, considering factors, such as resource requirements, computer storage capacity and speed, extent of peripheral equipment, and intended use of output data.
  • Oversees testing and remediation activities.
  • Manages the revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
  • Trains subordinates in systems analysis, feasibility studies, programming, and program coding.
  • Prepares records and reports.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.

  • Provide programmatic, strategic, and tactical direction for the continuous improvement of the Information Security function.

  • Actively build and strengthen relationships individuals throughout the organization at all levels.
  • Solicits and/or identifies problems, assuming accountability for the development and implementation of improvements in process, technology, information flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Consults with IT leaders and business leaders to thoroughly understand NFI’s long-term and short-term business strategies.
  • Devises and manages the implementation of tactical plans to achieve the long-term and short-term business strategies.
  • Delivers insights that contribute to decision-making and strategy management.
  • Partners with peers in all functions of IT to collectively drive progress towards organizational and functional area goals.

Operations

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize risks and maximize compliance across all company functions.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensures the success of cross-functional programs by delivering on scope, timeline, budget, and with quality.
  • Oversee investigations of potential violations of company policies, and ensure that corrective action is taken when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the Information Security function are integrated and working effectively.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of the Information Security function.
  • Drive refinement of process documentation to align with regulatory requirements and best practices from appropriate frameworks (i.e. ISO, COBIT, NIST).
  • Collaborate professionally while emphasizing personal integrity, responsibility/accountability, business partnership, and center-of-excellence development
  • Establish, track, and report on key metrics to ensure that the quality of Information Security services are meeting business objectives
  • Generate, provide, and present reports and presentations suitable for individuals at all levels
  • Act as a subject matter expert, and provide support and counsel to other teams

Expectations:

  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred, will consider comparable work experience.
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Sought out for functional knowledge and guidance; anticipates issues and makes considered decisions to avoid them.
  • Owner of and expert on large parts of their job function.
  • Has a track record of creating improvements across major parts of their department, bringing about positive changes to the business.
  • Holistic, integrated understanding of organizational context.
  • Travel: Up to 5% (based on the needs of the business)
