Job Title: Gulfshore Service/Install Field Supervisor

Job Department: Service/Install

Reports to: Service (primary) and Install Manager

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, some overtime

Position Summary: Oversight of Gulfshore field operations to include field support and training. To provide installation, maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience. Assist with training Technicians. Will uphold company policy and ensure technicians follow process.

Required Qualifications / Achievements:

  • Minimum ten years of experience as a service technician
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License
  • Demonstrate willingness to invest in tools used in Service of HVAC equipment.
  • Demonstrate willingness to invest time in service training seminars and classes.
  • Work from 28' extension ladder and 12' step ladder.
  • Meet all qualifications and have all tools required for Service Technicians Level 1-4.
  • Understand and communicate benefits of preventative maintenance.
  • Demonstrate advanced customer service skills and have ability to communicate clearly, ideas and explanations of challenges and solutions to residential and commercial clients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.
  • Experience in training and mentoring technicians.
  • HVAC Tech School certificate or equivalent

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist, supervise, and delegate to install and service technicians to include: assistance with hiring, discipline, setting work priorities, training, evaluating performances, and supervisor work assignments.
  • Perform on-site Quality Control Checks insuring all jobs are to Gulfshore Standards.
  • Evaluate technicians to determine training requirements and provides recommendation to the service and/or install manager.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and, and ongoing technical and communication training to all coworkers to increase performance, skill level, and efficiency.
  • Assist with creating a positive atmosphere that will encourage the team to achieve its goals. Instill pride in the team, in their work, in who they work for, desire to succeed in this business, and to strive for excellence in all we do here.
  • Assist with directing team members to maximize their effectiveness and productivity. Meet with team members, as needed, to address any deficiencies.
  • Purchase / Maintain required tool list for Service Technician
  • Arrive at the jobsite at scheduled time and location as dispatched
  • Relocate from one jobsite to another jobsite as dispatched during the workday
  • Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving jobsite
  • Operate and maintain a company vehicle as required.
  • Follow instructions from management and/or dispatcher and carry out in a timely manner
  • Report problems with company tools or vehicles promptly
  • Report problems with equipment to Dispatcher to expedite parts delivery
  • Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on all visits
  • Ability to work staggered schedule if required
  • Always maintain professional appearance and attitude
  • Complete all service/install-related forms properly
  • Provide all customers with new / renewal maintenance agreement program information
  • Acquire commercial and residential planned maintenance agreements
  • Inform and educate customers on additional products or services available to them
  • Inform customer of replacement options following company guidelines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule if required
  • Willing to be on call for emergency service.
  • Provide training to new and existing employees regarding Service Titan mobile, HVAC install and service repairs, duct design and proper use of tools. Supervise, Train, and instruct Technicians.
  • Be a company advocate with careful documentation of deficiencies noted in field personnel.
  • Participation in a corrective plan of action to assist field personnel with improvements.
  • Participate in the development of training programs and presentations.
  • Converse with sales team, service and install team, and homeowners
  • Communicate clearly, the ideas and explanations of problems to customers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of residential and commercial equipment, present repair and replacement option
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate Computer skills; to include using company software, a professional working knowledge of Service Titan, permitting, and occasional job costing.
