Full time position for busy, luxury interior design firm with work throughout California, Nevada, in addition to Kaua'i and Idaho.

Qualifications should include a bachelors degree in the interior design discipline, but not necessary. All degrees will be considered. Technical and building knowledge of construction is a bonus and will provide candidate with a higher income potential.

This position is based in our Incline Village, Lake Tahoe office. Day travel to local job sites will be required within a regional 50 mile radius of our office.

Experience

  • Proven skills in the Interior Design industry;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is a bonus;
  • Design Manager software experience preferred with the ability to learn new technology quickly;
  • In depth knowledge of furniture, lighting, design materials, and industry standards;
  • Valid Nevada or California driver’s license;
  • Must drive and have own reliable, all weather transportation;
  • Excellent time management with positive attitude, upbeat and friendly personality;
  • Identifies a goal with a systematic approach to problem solving, is able to quickly link tasks to that goal, and does not require micromanaging from superiors;
  • Must be flexible, understanding that there will be periods of time with a very light workload and other times that are more time consuming;
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment as well as the ability to multi-task as we are in need of a self starter who is motivated;
  • Remains calm and composed in stressful, chaotic situations;
  • Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential;
  • A professional visual presentation in dress and personal hygiene are mandatory;
  • Intimate understanding of the importance of maintaining the highest level of project confidentiality;
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist senior design staff;
  • Independent field work including on-site measurements and photo documentaiton;
  • Obtain pricing and finish/material samples from vendor partners;
  • Create and manage proposals, invoices, and purchase orders;
  • Order and maintain product samples and sample library;
  • Order tracking and coordination of deliveries;
  • Manage office phones;
  • Digital and hard copy records organization, archiving, inventory management, contact updating;
  • Maintain password list and manage all subscription services.

Pay: From $51,512.00 per year
