SUMMARY
Cornell Pump Company, a manufacturer of industrial pumps for more than 70 years, is preparing our first technological offering in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) arena. We are seeking an intermediate-level software developer with enthusiasm, broad exposure to different types of development tasks, and a minimum of three years of professional experience to join our team for this years-long effort.
ACTIVITIES AND DUTIES
We are looking for an individual to perform design and programming tasks in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in support of our primary project. This position will focus on AWS Lambda Functions, Relational Database Services (RDS), DynamoDB, S3, SQS and other services. The successful candidate will join a well-formed and productive team implementing the components of a cloud-based system, focused on writing code to support our existing projects and in the creation of new features.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3 years minimum paid professional experience, not part of a school-sponsored program, and not including internships.
- 2 years AWS Cloud development
- 2 years of programming experience in Python
- 1 year of programming experience in SQL, MySQL, or Postgres preferred
USEFUL ADDITIONAL FAMILIARITY
- Object-oriented programming in any language such as Java or C#
- Experience writing or consuming RESTful Interface services
- Windows PowerShell script development
- Web development with client-side JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer/Electrical Engineering or related fields
