Under the direction of the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Analyst provides functional support for the inventory control team. Responsible for the execution of inventory control processes, tracking inventory, key performance indicators, and overall inventory health.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Inventory Control (75%):
- Establishes, evaluates, and tracks companywide inventory metrics.
- Oversees the maintenance of inventory records through ERP/WMS modules.
- Manages, coordinates, and performs inventory cycle counts. Investigates inventory discrepancies to maintain inventory levels and appropriate control.
- Reconciles inventory records and records adjustments.
- Plans and executes annual physical inventory amongst all locations.
- Reviews inventory movement (transfers, receivings, etc.) to ensure proper transactions are recorded in the ERP/WMS system.
- Oversees transactions and reconciles inventory at contract manufacturers.
- Analyzes excess and obsolete inventory, preparing disposal reports monthly.
- Prepares and analyzes various inventory and operational reports.
- Prepares reports in association with recall and trace exercises.
- Identify potential excess, aged, and obsolete inventory. Works cross-functionally with other teams to develop options for dispositioning.
Inventory Planning (25%):- Recommends movement of inventory to support the company’s needs based on lead time and demand plan to eliminate the risk of obsolescence.
- Performs maintenance and upkeep of finished goods in the inventory management/demand planning software.
- Monitors and communicates performance of each finished good through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and escalates any challenges to sales and operations.
- Communicates availability of finished goods for timely and efficient transportation to warehouse(s).
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with special projects related to system upgrades.
- Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Computer literate in MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook; working knowledge of Great Plains preferred.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to use a 10-key by touch.
- Ability to operate office equipment, such as but not limited to, calculators, copiers, fax machines, scanners, multifunctional machines, multi-line phones, etc.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
