Position Overview:
The Senior Supervisor, Inventory Control & Product Placement responsibilities remain similar to the Supervisor, Inventory Control & Product Placement responsibilities; with the exception of scope|complexity of business support (internal or external) & execute strategic business initiatives as well as demonstrated positive performance of Sr. Supervisor core competencies.

- Perform all Supervisor tasks|responsibilities at 'mastery' level. The work itself may not change, but level of oversight decreases
- May manage a staff of professional associates that work on complicated issues integrating activities and/or processes in the department or across other areas of the business when|where appropriate
- Anticipate the future needs for the business we support (e.g. people, training, automation, innovation, etc.)
- Perform manager responsibilities as needed
- Lead Innovation and become a Change Champion
Other Typical Tasks:
- May organize and run non-standard hour projects, programs, etc. (flexible with schedule)
- May travel - domestically as needed|requested
- May participate on cross-functional committees, task forces
- Responsible for supervision of PDC day|night shift team representatives as well as assisting in performing PDC functions
- Oversees and participates in the execution of product moves, updating PROD applications and updating inventory count records
- Oversees and participates in the execution of perpetual inventory counts and updating inventory count records; assign or conduct investigations to resolve inventory discrepancies as necessary
- Work closely with the Day|Night shift leadership to oversee and tasks associated with product placement and inventory control
- Identify and direct moves to new locations based on space availability and pick rates
- Assign picking homes locations and stocking levels to new product. Function includes physically moving the picking bin, changing the computer locations, and printing the necessary bin labels
- Assist in identification and removal of obsolete and discontinued product
- Conduct inventory counts and update computer system to show correct quantity on hand
- Utilize inventory control reports to conduct perpetual inventory counts, maintain inventory records, and make changes to the computer system to show correct quantity on hand
- Analyze physical inventory records and resolve inventory count discrepancies
- Recommend procedures to facilitate or improve inventory control in the PDC
- Investigate and resolve any issues of mixed product in a storage location
- Review stock and restock level recommendations for storage locations
- Recommend changes to classification criteria to indicate how often a part is due to be counted. i.e. High volume parts will be identified so they can be counted more frequently
- Use applicable Purchasing and Receiving subsystems to verify receipts and ID physical counts
- Supervise and ensure completion of inventory related projects and other duties as assigned/required to meet business needs
- Ensure adequate spacing is available for product from receiving
- Responsible for supervision of PDCe day shift team representatives as well as picking functions
- Assist with data analysis and Warehouse planning for PDCe
- Assist with Fargo Migration to PDC

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Typically, 2+ years of management experience
- 3+ Digi-Key &/or industry experience in Order Fulfillment, people leadership, or other relevant work experience (Preferred)
