Responsibilities:
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of inventory productivity and efficiency
- Directs and oversees the inventory process to meet customer deadlines
- Maintains a staffing level to accomplish the receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner.
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of receiving associates
- Ensures the inventory associates are capable of safely operate material handling equipment to move materials
- Develops crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
- Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish shipping mission in a safe, effective manner.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies with zero'd product and skipped product.
- Monitors the flow of paperwork from inventory controls to shipping for timely data entry.
- Assisting in the training of new associates
- Maintaining excellent cross-functional and interdepartmental communication
- Assist receiving and inventory supervisors to help navigate and prioritize incoming product.
- Monitor systems and emails frequently to ensure customer satisfaction
- Keep work areas clean and clear of safety hazards
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Lead and supervise a team of inventory agents
- Counsels, records and discipline shipping associates as necessary.
- Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the shipping department.
- Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards
- Maintain 5S warehouse principles are administered and followed on a routine basis
Must be able to work Weekends!- 2-3 years hands on supervisory experience required
- 1 year inventory experience
- Supervisory experience, team building.
- Experience with WMS/ inventory management system and RF technology.
- Must possess ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and proactively act to get back on track
- Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as team member productivity.
- Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
- Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess outstanding customer relations skills
- Strong skills and experience in team/personnel management
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated drive to achieve results
- Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/ walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs)
- Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker etc)
