Description

The IT Delivery Manager will work as part of Global IT to manage and deliver IT services withing the R&D Lab. The post holder will provide operational support to end users within laboratory and office spaces, and remotely were required. The Delivery Manager role will be responsible for technology procurement, implementation, and systems administration and development, inside the scope of LAB FIT US operations. This person will partner with Lab owners to plan, implement, and maintain lab instruments and systems. The role will be based in Redwood City and Palo Alto, California and will report to the Senior Manager of US IT with approximately 10% travel locally, nationally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Level 3 and 4 support requests within US laboratories and offices
Administer Lab systems, end-user hardware, and backup and replication systems
Oversee installation of Lab data acquisition applications in conjunction with vendors
Create IT documentation for Lab infrastructure, equipment, and laboratory operations
Procure and manage laboratory and office IT assets in collaboration with Global IT
Lead IT training sessions on core Lab applications, onboarding, and information security
Interpret technology trends with the aim of enhancing Global IT Lab service provisions
Analyze existing IT Lab processes to recommend improvements based on end-user feedback
Implement SOPs and policies and follow established processes while proposing changes
Plan for future Lab expansion and repurposing in close collaboration with Global IT
Advise Lab end-users with technical issues on an ad-hoc basis (walk-up/informal requests)
Analyze feedback from Lab end-users and devise ways to improve IT service management
Deliver on SLAs and determine ways to improve response times
Manage service expectations of Lab end-users
Coordinate with local and Global IT coworkers to plan IT service upgrades

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Lab space
Microsoft Certifications preferred.
Experience in 21 CFR Part 11, SOPs, and Computer System Validation highly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated success with Lab user adoption and value realization
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time domestically and internationally
Must adhere to company Covid vaccine mandate
Salary: 140-155K
