Description
The IT Lead Cloud Engineer will be part of the Global Infrastructure team responsible for the performance and availability of the Cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities required of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Performing and supporting problem resolution efforts for Cloud performance, access/permissions and other concerns across a multi-vendor, multi-datacenter infrastructure
- Implementing and supporting cloud-based applications and technologies
- Monitoring and supporting virtualization environment
- Collaborating in various Infrastructure projects and cloud service management and governance
- Managing the Global Network Storage environment in a cost-effect manner that can handle both a high volume of data and large volume of users
- Planning future requirements, trends, and changes to meet existing and future business storage demands
- Managing overall Storage Administration, including periodic maintenance, monitoring, and daily support of enterprise storage infrastructure
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or related area of study preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- 8+ years of IT Infrastructure experience (including 3 years of Storage)
- 5+ years of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud experience
- Experience with common Azure services (Virtual Machine, Database, Storage, Virtual Network, Azure Resource Manager, etc)
- Experience deploying and supporting Cloud storage technology
- Knowledgeable in networking and security
- Knowledge of storage protocols
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills including identification of issues, obstacles, and implementation of effective solutions
- Ability to multi-task as well as focus on priorities
- Project Management experience is a plus
Work Schedule
TransRe is supportive of an agile work schedule, which may differ based on individual roles, your local office’s practices and preferences marketplace trends, and TransRe’s business objectives. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with approximately 3 days in the office per week, with the remainder of the week remote.
Compensation
In addition to base salary, for this position, TransRe offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity is $160,000 – 180,000 This range is an estimate and the actual base salary offered for this position will be determined based on certain factors, including the applicant’s specific skill set and level of experience.
