The IT Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning and oversight of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget adhering to the company's goals and vision. The IT Project Manager plans and designates project resources, prepares budgets, monitors progress, and keeps stakeholders informed throughout the entire project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Determine resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements. Track project costs to meet budget.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage workflow and priorities across assigned projects, ensuring timely communication, visibility to budget, project schedules, dependencies, and potential risks to deliverables throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Inform leadership of emerging risks in a timely manner including proposed mitigation plans.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This role does not allow for 100% remote work and would require the ability to work a hybrid work schedule consisting of 3 days pers week in the office at Caseys Store Support Center in Ankeny IA.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) year's prior work experience as a project manager, PMP certification a plus.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to think critically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power point, and Outlook.
