Our Grenada location in Mississippi, United States is currently seeking talent to fill the position of IT Specialist. This job is permanent, full-time.
Position Description
Maintain & update information systems for the mill & Process Control IT systems. Give support to operations, process engineers and maintenance teams to ensure the reliability and performance of the process control IT & mill networks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain Process Control Servers and Workstations
- Provide E&I technical support on DCS and PLC computer network systems
- Provide technical and control support for Mill Capital Projects
- Assist in maintaining engineering documentation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure communication interfaces for the mill and process networks
- Provide support for Paper Machine Camera, PTS and HTRC communications system
- Work with Process Control department to maintain plant process control information network
- Work with Process Control department to maintain PLC engineering work stations, networks, switches, etc.
- Experience with virtual machines
- Work with Process Control department to maintain DCS engineering workstations and servers for the DCS communications system
- Configure Operator Interfaces, PLC &DCS Logic
- On-call rotation for mill IT systems - support duties with IT Administrator
- Build & maintain physical servers, vertical servers and SAN Servers
- CISCO Network Gear, Firewalls, and DMZ zones (this type work will be performed local with help from Corporate Network Team)
- IP Addresses, Subnet MASK and Gateways
Qualifications and Experience:
- Information Systems Technology Associates degree and/or 2 - 5 years’ experience at computer technology or process control applications.
- High level of verbal and written skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate multiple processes.
- Ability to learn new software and train other users.
- Ability to prioritize workload and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision.
A plus if you have:
- PLC configuration/ladder logic, analysis, and configuration/graphics building in Windows-based DCS systems
- Knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation applications
