IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Costa Vida is looking for an IT Support Technician to work within our IT department to support restaurant operations and corporate office employees. This position has full-time availability and makes a competitive salary plus bonus potential. This position reports to the Director of IT. Costa Vida's headquarters are in Lehi near Salt Lake City, Utah.

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Technician is responsible for configuration, management, and support of Windows/Mac computers, enterprise point-of-sale system administration, and providing general help desk support to the organization. Aside from being a part of the magic that is Costa Vida, you will be a part of a fast-paced, purposeful team that values innovation and results. You will collaborate with the incredible staff in our restaurants as well as members of our support team to troubleshoot and solve technology-related problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology support/help desk services to the organization
  • Point-of-sale system daily administration
  • Manage point-of-sale system upgrades, configuration updates, and promotional setup
  • Collaborate with appropriate teams to improve point-of-sale processes and workflows
  • Provide help desk service for point-of-sale devices, computers, and other technology equipment
  • Track problems and requests in the IT support ticket system
  • Actively manage support request ticket queue, completing requests within SLA targets
  • Collaborate with our Training Team to create resources for store and office employees
  • Implement data security policies as related to employee devices and point-of-sale devices
  • Manage and troubleshoot third-party integrations to the POS
  • Submit feature requests and support tickets to vendor support teams as needed
  • Create and maintain documentation supporting key processes and procedures
  • Provide on-site technical support as needed in store locations
  • Assist with other IT projects as directed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in tech support or help desk role preferred
  • Trouble shooting skills with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Associates degree with an IT-related emphasis, or job experience equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive outlook with the ability to work well in a team-based, challenging environment
  • Analytical mindset and eye for detail
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale System support (specifically Toast) is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Office 365
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, wireless networking, and system troubleshooting
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions and database concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Some evening hours or weekend hours
  • English literacy and Spanish speaking are a plus
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
