Position Summary: The Journeyman Electrician for our company will be responsible for working on the electrical system of HVAC systems and Generators in residential homes. Also, responsible for upgrading and changing Electrical panels for Generators and HVAC systems in. Applies knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of residential homes, Generators and HVAC equipment.

Essential functions:

• Connecting Residential HVAC and Generator electrical connections
• Reads, interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to see layout of electrical equipment installations
• Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Installs, repairs, or replaces generators and industrial storage batteries
• Do preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes
• Provides exceptional customer service to every customer both internal and external
• Installs electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment required in Residential applications for HVAC equipment and Generators
• Works on electrical failures and replaces components wherever production time is often affected
• Corrects connections and wiring on equipment controls wherever incorrect applications may cause harm and dangerous conditions
• Complies with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a certified general journeyman license or applicable specialty license
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship
• Ability to read blueprints and browse electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
• Must be willing to wear and follow all rules regarding PPE
• Must be able to work variable shifts if the job requires it
• Color Vision: Electricians work with colored wiring and must be able to identify them by sight
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Valid Driver's license and insurable driving record
