Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Jr. Climate Specialist in the Atlanta, GA area.
_This position is expected to begin in June 2023._
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
+ Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories.
+ Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
+ Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology, Climatology, Geoscience, Geospatial or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Excellent analytical and writing skills.
+ Previous internship in climate change adaptation.
+ Urban or municipal planning, or policy modeling/design is also useful
+ Academic courses in sustainability, with a particular emphasis on climate change.
+ Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with other quantitative/statistical programs desirable; experience with GIS and other spatial analytical systems, desirable.
+ Detail-oriented: Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more, and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment.
