Job Title: Sales Engineer

Reports To: Director of Sales

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Develop customer relationships in assigned regions to achieve new sales and provide inspection, service, and installation management for the company’s products in the power generation sector. Utilizing creative sales techniques and tactics to achieve set sales goals, growth targets, and revenue.

Training requirement: This role requires visiting sites with Technical, Sales & Site Manager to gain product and service knowledge. (*six months minimum)

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of sales projects and scopes within the region. Travel as required across sales regions to build key business partnerships, understand client needs and provide appropriate sales solutions. Minimum travel expectations are 60% of the time.
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, sales, and product teams as a trusted advisor to facilitate solution improvements. Proactively guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.*
  • Provide monthly & quarterly management reports on sales forecasts, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and claims resolution within the region. Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities to grow sales regions.*
  • Ensure all data and reporting documentation is collected for all proposed projects and keep all records current in CRM software, company network drive & individual plant records on file in the office.*
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management. *
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) BA or and one to two years of experience. Mechanical Sales experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, a individual should have knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Maximizer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,447.00 - $56,832.00 per year
