Animal Care is hiring for a part time Kennel Attendant / Veterinary Assistant for our full service animal clinic, boarding facility, and daycare located in Ipswich, MA.
We are looking for a hardworking, energetic, and reliable individual to join our team. Responsibilities primarily include kennel duties: Feeding, medicating, watering and cleaning up after boarding and hospital patients, letting dogs out for playtime, being comfortable supervising small groups of dogs in yard, care of hospital patients, general cleaning and upkeep of both kennel and hospital. Along with some reception work, and veterinary assistance tasks.
Knowledge of basic animal care, handling and restraint is preferred, but will train the right individual.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, have own transportation and have a good attitude with pets and people. Frequently lift/carry dogs weighing up to 50 lbs. Weekends and rotating holidays required. Additionally, candidates must be willing to occasionally cover shifts for absent co-workers.
