We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The Laundry Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and clothing items are properly laundered, sorted, and distributed to residents in a timely and efficient manner.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintain a steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean garments and linens .

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prevent the spread of infection through proper handling, storage, washing and transporting of all garments and linens.
• Hang, fold and stack clean garments and linens.
• Report any garments or linens in ill repair to supervisor.
• Distribute clothes to residents' rooms in accordance with the theft loss program.

• Observe infection control procedures related to the Laundry Department.

• Attend in-service training programs.

• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

• Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.

• Follow facility safety program.

• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.

• Assume accountability for data contained in employees' handbook.

• Fold and stack facility linens.

• Work under inside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and possible blood borne pathogens, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards and constant vibrating motion.

• Adheres to the Values and Expectations statement and element of the compliance program.
