Job description
This position provides administrative support to the lending officer.
The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Entails customer contact in person and by telephone
- Receives customers and loan applications
- Reviews and prepares applications for consideration
- Verifies applicant information
- Types general correspondence, loan agreements and committee presentations
- Reviews non-sufficient fund items as needed, facilitates customer transactions and provides customer information
- Coordinates loan processing
- Monitors maturing loans, past due loans and exceptions to loan agreements
- Responsible for the maintenance and organization of loan files
- Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all established bank policies and procedures
- Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML
QUALIFICATIONS
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
- A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or GED
- At least six months of experience working as an administrative assistant, secretary or with loan documentation at a bank
- Hard working team player with professional attitude and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to handle several on-going tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Good organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer relation skills
- Attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks
- Ability to work in a stressful environment, and handling frequent interruptions
- Working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel (proficiency is desired)
- Prior lending specialist experience of two or more years is desired
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
ORGANIZATION
- This position reports to a Business Relationship Manager (SA) or Small Business Relationship Manager (SA)
- This position does not oversee other positions
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures. Failure to adhere to these requirements will be grounds for disciplinary action, including probation and possible termination.

- Alternate work arrangements such as telecommuting or working from home are not permitted by Lone Star National Bank
