Hello!
My name is Naomi, I am working with a non-profit treatment and recovery center in Manhattan, NY. We’re looking to bring on a full-time, Floating LPN to dispense medication to their patients. You must be able to float to all 9 of their Clinics in the Manhattan & Brooklyn areas.
These centers offer seven medication assisted treatment programs that utilize individual and group counseling with medical and behavioral health professionals to treat patients, including short-term outpatient detoxification and vocational rehabilitation services. These seven programs are article 32 certified by the New York State office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS), article 28 licensed by the NYS Department of Health, and CARF-accredited.

- Adolescent Program (12-17yrs)
- Hepatitis C & HIV Screenings
- Primary Care
- & Vocational Training
Responsibilities:
- Provide for Medication dispensing & Nursing assistance in the diagnoses & continuous primary medical care to patients.
- Assists the Head Nurse in the performance of the Head Nurse's duties.
- Verifies the identification and observes the behavior of patients to whom medication or other medical services are provided.
- Must adhere to all procedures referable to accounting for medication dispensed to patients and reporting any deviations immediately to the Head Nurse.
- Maintains the medical charts, the medical unit appointment book and daily visit logbook.
- Performs the appropriate independent nursing follow-up care of patients.
- Assists in the identification and recall of patients for follow-up medical and nursing care. This includes the monitoring of urine toxicology.
- Assists in the performance of admission and annual physical examinations.
- Provides the physician or physician assistant with urine toxicology and other laboratory data as they become available.
- Attends on a punctual basis at least ten medical meetings annually and shall serve as a member of one of the Division's Standing Committees.
- Performs all tasks necessary to improve care quality, productivity of medical staff, and patient satisfaction with the medical/nursing care they receive.
- Performs all tasks necessary to enhance reimbursement and reduce denials for services rendered.
- Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, vital signs and assists in urine collection.
- Assists the physician or physician assistant in the performance of pelvic examinations.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Licensed Practical Nursing certification required
- Associate Degree required.
- Three (3) years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of electronic medical records required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and co-workers.
- Strong teamwork capabilities.
- Passionate about working with individuals who needed assistance.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Schedule:
- M-F 6:30a-2:30p Sat: rotations 7a-12p
- Must Float to all Clinics
- There are 3 Adult Clinics and 1 Adolescent Clinic in the Manhattan area
- There are 3 Adult Clinics in the Brooklyn area
Compensation:
$52k- $60,189/yr ($25-29/hr) Based on years & Level of Experience
