Job description

Workers' Compensation defense firm looking for a full-time in-house Lien Specialist. Candidates must have at least 1-3 years experience working in medical billing and/or collections. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job duties include the following:

• Review and research outstanding liens to determine appropriateness of liens and liability per Official Medical Fee Schedule
• Communicate with medical providers, attorneys, and all other outstanding lien holders via phone, fax, and e-mail
• Negotiate lien resolution within parameters set by the firm on behalf of clients
• Communicate and update clients with case status regarding outstanding liens

• Bill and dictate letters to clients and lien claimants
• Strong customer service experience
• Ideal candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Computer skills are required.
