Liquidation Sales Specialist
Job description
The Liquidation Sales Specialist will drive the sales of out non-moving inventory and overstock inventory through multiple channels. This position is an inside sales position that will require a combination of vendor sales, existing customer sales as well as the set up and monitoring of other sales channels such as auctions.
Duties:
- Make outbound calls to existing customers and new customers to drive non-moving part sales
- Pursue vendor buyback programs
- Set up, manage and monitor live auctions and similar liquidation channels
- Log calls and progress in a tracking/CRM system
- Negotiate special liquidation pricing in order to maximize profit
- Update inventory logs as sales are generated
- Explore larger liquidation sales with approval from management
Position Requirements:
- 3 or more years’ experience in related field preferred
- 2-year leadership experience preferred
- Sales experience required
- Professional demeanor and cooperative attitude
- Strong computer skills; MS Word, MS Excel
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to independently problem solve
- Detail oriented, highly organized and responsible
Physical Requirements:
- Work will be performed both in an office environment as well as an outside area
- May be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position
- Must have good manual dexterity
