Qualifications for an ED/IP physician typically include:

• Completion of a medical degree program and residency training in emergency medicine and/or internal medicine.
• Board certification in emergency medicine and/or internal medicine.
• A current and unrestricted medical license in the state where the physician will practice.
• Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in the emergency department and inpatient setting.
