Job description

The ideal LPN for our pediatric office is friendly and patient-service oriented, is able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and works well both independently and as a part of a team. Must be comfortable working with patients and parents, display excellent communication and organizational skills. This position requires flexible day, evening and weekend hours when applicable.

Responsibilities:

· Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Doctor, nurse and clinical manager

· Interview patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts via the EMR system (eCW)

· Required to draw and collect blood samples from patients via capillary draw and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. (hemoglobin, lead and glucose finger sticks).

· Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and stocking rooms as needed.

· Administer vaccines to a wide age group (newborns up to 22 years of age)

· Document the patient encounter in EMR.

· Required to run patient urinalysis, run strep, flu and COVID testing as well as prepare send out lab testing.

· Triage phone calls, complete prior authorizations and script refills as well as prepping charts for upcoming visits.

Job Requirements:

· Detail-oriented, able to rely on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks, participate in a team, and accomplish goals

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Able to interact and treat all persons with fairness and respect

Experience:

• LPN: 1 year (preferred not required )

License:

• LPN Licensure is required in the State of New Jersey'
