Job description
We are looking for a Machine Operator for our West Caldwell, NJ campus.
Under close direction overall responsibility includes working with chemicals and performing control checks, and operating and maintaining an autoclave.
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are typical of what this position may be required to perform, however they are not all inclusive.
- Read manufacturing and engineering instructions for plating and preparing materials in racks for plating.
- Perform chemical analysis of etching solutions
- Takes samples for process control and adjustments using basic analytical equipment
- Maintain plating line to ensure proper plating results.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
- Maintain equipment according to manufacturing and engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools.
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning equipment, using hand tools.
- Test plated material for conformance to specified plating thicknesses.
- Record data on testing results to assist engineers.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
- Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
- Provide user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrade and enhancement.
- Operate & maintain Autoclave
- Runs automated equipment with dedicated software
- Prepares the material for the loads with requires lift of some heavy parts
- Utilize experience and judgment gained from work as a technician
- Preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment and parts
- Performs other duties as required by business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of machine operator experience required.
- Knowledge of practical application of etching processes preferred. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of various goods.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Chemical handling experience
- Ability to move 55 gallon drums
- Ability to wear a respirator at times
- Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
