Production Assemblers and Machine Operators are responsible for running and maintaining saw department equipment which includes saw, boring, drills conveyors, stackers, coders and other related woodwork cutting equipment safely and efficiently in relation to material usage documentation, product waste, cutting and stacking.

Observe operation of robotic equipment and perform necessary adjustments to ensure product specifications are met.

Monitor robotic equipment to load raw material (wood) into Robotic machines in a timely manner to ensure no line stoppages.

Perform control checks and make equipment adjustments as needed.

Communicate any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Production Supervisor verbally and/or in writing.

Will have working knowledge and experience with sawing operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent cost downtime due to handler error.

Ensure machine is supplied with correct material needed to run as required.

Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.

Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Available full time Monday-Thursday 4 10 Hour shifts

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Committed to learning quality woodworking skills including machinery of all types, including CAD program.

Able to work independently and follow verbal and written directions as well as understand and interpret drawing and details.

Able to perform basic math skills, including reading a tape measure.

CNC or Woodworking equipment experienced. (preferred)(not required)

Experienced with reading shop drawings. (preferred) (not required)

This position could become responsible for the set-up and operation of wood working machinery and tools to assemble a variety of products within specified timelines and per company standards

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

1 year experience preferred (not required)

Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Must be able to able to stand, walk, push or pull a majority of the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and manually stack and move wood.

Be able to effectively work in a team environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
