Overview:
As the Maintenance Dept. Lead you will be responsible for coordinating and assisting the maintenance team, ensuring completion of projects and minimize downtime. This position is very hands on, so we are looking for a person that can balance many things in the department such as, training new employee’s, provides technical direction for day to day activities, all while maintaining a working knowledge of all plant utilities & systems. You will be an asset to the team by having an enthusiastic spirit.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follow and support all Company Safety, GMP, HACCP policies
  • Follow and support all Company ISO and QMS policies. Authorized approver of Department Controlled Documents.
  • Maintains the highest quality of services rendered and Gung Ho Spirit
  • Maintains good housekeeping in the shop and on the plant floor
  • Trains new employees and performs weekly evaluations
  • Provides technical direction for day-to-day activities
  • Works with production and maintenance to improve systems and equipment
  • Responsible for requesting the Safety Department perform a Safety Review for new installations and significant upgrades that materially affect safety processes.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all plant utilities systems

. Snow removal planning as deemed necessary by Maintenance Manager. Must be trained and competent in operating Company Truck.

Education and/or Experience

Education: Associates degree in electrical/mechanical preferred, but not required..

Experience: In addition to the educational requirements incumbents must have 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance field
