Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Irwindale, CA

Shifts: 2nd and 3rd Shift

Overview:

The City of Irwindale is seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for 2nd and 3rd shift positions. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment, machinery, and systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems with production equipment and systems.

• Perform repairs and replacements of defective parts and components as needed.

• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment malfunctions and address issues proactively.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities using computerized maintenance management systems.

• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

• Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery.

• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and production personnel to identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic skills.

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shift schedules.

• Must have reliable transportation.
