Maintenance Mechanical (Millwright)
Certified Journeyman Millwright or in lieu of they must be able to provide a minimum of 4 years prior industrial maintenance experience or industrial heavy machinery. The individual must pass a written skills test that is designed for individuals with a journeyman’s level of training.
Those taking the test must display proficiency in the following categories each section will be weighed equally. The following categories will be covered:

- Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Power Transmission
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Print reading
- Lubrication
- Machines, tools and equipment
- Welding and Rigging
- Pumps and pipe fitting.
Candidates must have the ability to work from oral instructions as well as read and follow written instructions including prints and schematics. Individuals must be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to work either as part of a crew or independently.
Applicants must be able to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, replace parts, and perform routine preventative maintenance task. Applicants must also be able to perform burning and welding repairs when required. Work hazards vary from working on or near overhead cranes and around molten metal. Work also involves extreme weather and temperature conditions both inside and outside of the building in all areas from roofs to pits.
Scheduling will be various and may include 12-hour shifts with overtime after 40 hours and a rotating schedule.
