Job Summary

Located in either Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX - this position is responsible for oversight and management of a team of clinicians and administrative support staff whose job responsibilities include the review and administration of employee workplace accommodation requests under the Americans with Disabilities Act/ADA, intake and administration of HCSC Workers Compensation claims in collaboration with the designated vendor who manages these claims, review of health related leaves and absence management escalations from Employee Services, FMLASource and/or Dearborn National. These accountabilities case review and escalations related to include medical leaves of absence, short and long-term disability cases, unpaid medical leaves of absence and the reporting, investigation, tracking and management of Workers Compensation claims. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor or BSN degree
  • 5 years of experience in an occupational health role including disability management and/or workers compensation case management
  • Experience working with FMLA and ADA program and policy administration and case management
  • Experience building relationships with multiple internal and external customers, senior management, subject matter experts
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills in a variety of settings and at all levels in the organization
  • Clear and concise written communication skills

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with unrestricted, current license in state of operations or PHR Certification or Certified Occupational Health Nurse or Certified Case Manager
  • Experience with Bureau of labor Statistics, ADA and OSHA
  • 2+ years leadership experience in Occupational Health management and/or disability management
  • 3+ years of management experience supervising, developing, and coaching a team of exempt/professional staff
  • Experience in developing and implementing employee safety programs and knowledge of drug testing programs.

This role will be telecommute in the Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX area with travel into the office up to 25%
