Job description
Manages, coordinates, and administers the day-to-day activities of one (1) or more functional areas or clinical counseling services and programs. Assists with the development of department objectives that align with University goals.
Coordinates clinical supervision of staff services and program development.
Oversees the implementation or one (1) or more clinical programs and/or services.
Provides psychological services, including but not limited to, individual, couples, and group therapy; crisis intervention services; and psychological assessments and evaluations.
Collaborates with University departments and organizations on outreach programs and services.
Doctorate degree in counseling or clinical psychology by hire date
Three (3) years of experience in college counseling or related field, with one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role
- Counseling credential/license
- Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)
- Currently licensed or license eligible within 12 months of start.
- APA-approved doctoral program and APA-accredited doctoral internship.
- Credentialed or eligible for the Certified Mental Performance Consultant Certificate
- One year of experience providing mental health services and performance-enhancing services to athletes.
- Experience in a university counseling center and/or athletics setting is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional skills in working with diverse students, a diverse staff, and working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with peers as well as clients.
Licensed in the mental health field in the state of Kansas, or eligible and actively pursuing licensure
