General Purpose

The Replenishment Manager will be responsible for managing the replenishment of several categories at Wal-Mart with accountability for store and distribution center (DC) inventory levels and customer & corporate forecasting and collaboration in those categories.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage product forecast process and collaborate with Wal-Mart replenishment team to develop replenishment strategies, including initiatives.
• Manage the demand plan and align to the Consumption-Based Planning (CBP) to drive forecast error improvements.
• Proactively manage forecast changes, identify root cause for what is happening to variances and how to correct it.
• Analyze forecast accuracy, ensuring seasonal forecasts/builds are correctly input in the Wal-Mart system. Specific activities to include, but not limited to Seasonal/Event build programs, new Item Configurations and Replenishment profiles/timelines.
• Analyze sales and inventory performance to identify trends and proactively correct systems disconnects, before out-of-stock instances occur.
• Manage all new items, item changes and pack transitions to ensure proper forecast accuracy and system order flow are aligned.
• Follow-up with sales, inventory, production and communicate with production any issues/risk regarding product availability (move up shipments, write more orders or shift production to different SKU’s).
• Lead 30-60-90 day meetings with the retail Replenishment Managers to ensure all key metrics are achieved along with planning for future programs and events.
• Represent replenishment in category team meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
• 4-6 years previous business experience, with direct experience in replenishment
• Proficiency in MS office required, especially Excel
• Proficient with Wal-Mart Retail Link
• Team player and problem solver in a demanding deadline driven environment
• Motivated, proactive, and highly organized
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize and highly analytical ability; Strong communication skills, strong attention to detail.
