OPPORTUNITY:

DuPont Transportation & Industrial (T&I) delivers a broad range of technology-based products and solutions to the transportation, aerospace, electronics, healthcare, industrial and consumer markets. The Pencader Site in Newark, DE, is the premier manufacturing location for Vespel® Parts and Shapes within those industries.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pencader has an opening for a Manufacturing Technology Engineer. This individual will be a member of the Manufacturing Technology group located at the Pencader site focused on both short- and long-term process improvement needs across the global business. In addition, this person could be responsible for Capital and Continuous Improvement projects.

Your key responsibilities:

Conduct work activities and demonstrate leadership behavior consistent with DuPont Core Values.

Work with MT, Operation, facility and Captial project teams to develop, implement and improve the existing and new process, equipment and technologies;

Use fundamental technical understanding to solve challenging process problems.

Use process data to gain insight into the health and normal behavior of the various equipment used to produce parts.

Understand fundamental process to part relationships to efficiently plan and execute qualification of new raw materials.

Interface with R&D and Technical Service resources to develop new part designs using the latest processing tools.

Your qualification profile:

BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related technical majors.

5+ years of experience in manufacturing or related industry with experience in supporting Operation Excellence activities;

Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex process and production issues using multiple disciplined teams and data driven analysis

Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement and statistical analysis experience is preferred;

Experience of process control, automation and PLC/HMI coding is preferred;

Capital project experience will be a plus;

A strong desire to apply fundamental knowledge to solve challenging problems.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Strong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant

Self-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
