Marketing/Client Relations:
- Develop/maintain positive relationships with referral sources or potential referral sources in the assigned territory
- Maintain awareness of assigned clinics’ weekly visits, referral patterns, and overall success
- Develop strategic marketing plans to continually improve referrals and awareness
- Facilitate relationship building between physical therapy team members and referral sources
- Identify referral targets and establish the consistent frequency of visits
- Provide clinic tours and establish positive relations with referred patients when onsite
- Host/attend beneficial events in the region that would increase exposure to potential referral sources/patients (May require some overnight travel)
- Develop creative giveaways/thank you gifts for referral contacts
- Educate potential referral sources on all service lines and clinic locations, maintain a high-level knowledge and understanding of those service lines
Event Planning:
- Seek out and identify beneficial community events/sponsorships
- Schedule and coordinate marketing events including luncheons/dinners, physician presentations, conferences, staff in-services, open houses, business after hours, ribbon cuttings, business expos, etc.
- Coordinate event planning including booking venues and arranging menus and AV needs, prepping materials, and assisting with other duties the day of the event.
Reporting/Communications:
- Maintain an organized event schedule and create territory coverage schedules
- Weekly analysis of PTPP Referral reporting
- Provide relevant research in designated territories when marketing, i.e. look for new physicians or changes of addresses, identify other business development opportunities, etc.
- Complete market research for future growth areas, i.e. information on industries and physicians, local competition, demographics of the community, etc.
- Provide support to clinicians with marketing their designated doctors, i.e. assist with the preparation of necessary marketing materials, assist in scheduling surgery/clinic observation, etc.
- Maintain detailed daily marketing log when calling on physicians and industries
- Utilize physician fast facts and other provided logs to track physician visits and the materials or premium gifts that are being issued at each visit.
- Complete Weekly Huddle report and other assigned reporting for clinics in the territory
- Attend regularly scheduled marketing meetings and provide relevant information about local markets and other issues or concerns to be addressed
- Maintain a well-organized database of physicians, case managers, and industry contacts.
- Track spending costs and assist with the preparation of the budget for marketing expenses
- Basic knowledge of the medical field
- Experience with business to business sales or marketing
- Previous sales or marketing experience is required
- Marketing experience with physicians is preferred
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to travel locally consistently and on longer durations state-wide, some out of state travel may be required
