Mechanic Helper – 2nd Shift

Independence Excavating is looking to hire a 2nd shift Mechanic Helper to join our Cleveland OH team. In this role, you will visit job sites in the late afternoon/ early evening to power wash, grease and make minor repairs to the fleet of equipment. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to grow and move into different roles in the company.

Hours will be Monday through Friday, 2pm-10pm.

A typical day looks like:

• Cleaning equipment and trucks
• Inspecting basic equipment and trucks
• Performing minor equipment and truck repairs
• Performing miscellaneous yard and/or shop duties as needed
• Organizing yard while maintaining good housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

• Be 18 years or older
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Must perform job duties with safety rules in mind and be willing to abide by them
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with co-workers and supervisor
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Overtime and weekends may be necessary during peak times
